There are great replacement button models online, like the ones Martin Hjenfelt made (which work really well), but I wanted to try making my own input buttons based directly on the original JVC design.
Had some concerns getting this to work as 3D prints, but with some slight reinforcements added, they turned out pretty well. The buttons fit perfectly and function almost like the original.
Printing them was a bit of a challenge. The only way I could get clean results was at a very specific angle and without supports (picture shows the orientation I used).
I printed in black PLA+. I don't have translucent filament to test for now. For the TM-H CG models, you’ll need 4 of these for the channel input buttons. The other buttons (power, menu, vol etc) use a different design.
