Description:
Designed this mount for some simple V-156-1C25 micro switches (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01MQPQGFQ) to actuate when the laser and electronics lid of the K40 are closed. You will need to drill 2 mounting holes. Make 2 identical 3d prints, just flip one the other way around for the electronics lid (see pics). Secure and adjust the switch height of the laser side with 2 x 12MM screws and the brass spacer then use 2 more 12mm screws to attach the the electronics side to the other side of the brass spacers.
In addition to the mechanical switch safety interlocks I have also added a self locking relay module (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08D7DPVC5), this module resets everytime the power is removed and a relay on a 3 second timer (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08HVBSCXW) this relay will only close after a few seconds have elapsed from power on. These are wired onto a board that lights a LED whn all the safety interlocks are closed.
