KAST v1.1 – Knitting Assistant (Improved Version)

KAST started as a simple DIY project: creating a small dedicated device to help with counting knitting rows.

The first version proved that the concept worked, but real-world usage revealed several things that could be improved.

KAST v1.1 is the result of those improvements.

Changes compared to the first version:

* redesigned enclosure;
* improved button placement;
* standard 22 mm watch strap compatibility;
* improved wearable design;
* better internal component arrangement;
* updated overall appearance.

The device is based on the Waveshare ESP32-S3-LCD-1.69 development board and includes:

* ESP32-S3 microcontroller;
* integrated display;
* battery-powered operation;
* physical buttons;
* custom 3D printed enclosure.

All CAD files are provided so you can:

* print your own version;
* modify the design;
* use the enclosure as a base for your own ESP32 projects.
