Kinect 3D Scanner

I had a damaged Kinect (the base got destroyed somehow) and I wanted to try my hand at 3D scanning, so with a a couple of 3D printed parts, a Kinect USB adapter off Amazon, and a plastic enclosure I had spare from a previous project, I made this thing. The enclosure and 3D printed parts were attached to the kinect by cable ties, and the enclosure was there to contain the damaged base of the kinect and the various cables and adapters required to connect it to a pc, with the gland plate on the back for the power and usb leads. The model for the kinect came from GrabCAD -> https://grabcad.com/library/kinect-xbox-360 Sadly this wasn't the best at scanning objects, with accuracy being to the cm rather than the micron, and scans having a lot of noise in them, but it was still a lot of fun.
