A while back my moms kitchen utensil drawer had an unfortunate run-in with an angry human (not me!) who slammed the drawer shut.
This cased the original rail holder to snap. My mom didn't want to replace it, and I wanted to experiment with modeling, so I took on a challenge to replace it.
I went through a couple designs and landed on one that beefs the part that failed up a little, but would still be functional.
The first printed object lasted a year before another run-in with the same angry human (again, not me!) broke it in the different spot, and damaged the other side.
The second time printing it (and its neighbor in mirror mode), I added a simple screw plate to absorb some of the impact in case this happens again.
The height between the bottom layer and the sacrificial layer is about 11mm. The width is 25mm.
Behind the part, it sits over a wood bar. This is about 24mm x 9mm.
