Kjolas Homestead Set

Welcome to Kjolas Models!

I design 3d printable models of 19th and early 20th century buildings from the midwest and great lakes region for model railroad and other diorama hobbies.

I work in 1:1 scale using sketchup, and provide the STL files with scale converted measurements for HO Scale and N Scale. I also design for use in resin printers and minimizing the number of support structures required during the slicing process by adding extra thickness to roof pieces to prevent roof section failures and warping while printing.

These small cottage and farm outbuildings fit right in on any rural layout and most eras, including the modern era with the right weathering and foliage.

I made this simple homestead set so that i could present something would showcase my design philosophy for one-piece printing as well as the level of detail that you can expect for the other paid models.
