Knurled Nut

This was initially an exercise in Sketchup teaching myself to model a knurled body. Also I had dropped and lost a knurled retainer nut for an LED light fixture. So, necessity being the mother of invention, I churned out this nut in short order.

The beauty of this design is its scalability. It is designed at 5mm (.197") ID. That is the tap size for an M6 X 1.0 thread. With that knowledge you can scale this for virtually any size tapped hole in your slicing software.

Use the appropriate number of walls, floors, and roofs for the load it will see.
