I have designed TPU rollers that are taller than the original metal rollers under the printer bed. These TPU rollers are intended to fit over the original rollers, allowing you to manually adjust the bed level using the original screws located beneath the PEI plate. For my setup, I set the height of the TPU rollers to 14.75 mm, which almost perfectly levels the bed, as shown in the accompanying pictures. Switching Process: Turn off the printer: Ensure the printer is powered off before making any adjustments. Unscrew the bed: Carefully unscrew the bed from the printer. Remove the original silicon washers (optional): If present, you may remove the original silicon washers from the center of the bed. Install TPU rollers: Slide the TPU rollers onto the original metal rollers. Reattach the bed: Screw the bed back into place, but leave it slightly loose so the bed can wiggle a bit. Turn on the printer: Power on the printer. Preheat the bed: Set the bed temperature to 90°C and let it stabilize for 10 minutes. Secure the bed: After the bed has heated and stabilized, tighten the screws securely. Calibrate the bed: Use the calibration section in your printer’s menu to perform a bed calibration. Run a bed leveling print: Print a leveling test file that covers the full bed size. Adjust the bed further by loosening or tightening the screws as needed. Set the Z-offset: In the Anycubic slicer software, set the Z-offset in the printer options. I used a value of -0.07 mm for my setup. By following these steps, you should achieve an improved and more consistent bed leveling experience using the TPU rollers.
