Kobra S1 Spool Holder – Left Side Yes! I don’t know if I’m the only one that really need it, but my plan was to put this printer on the right corner of my desk and I was not able to find any design with left side spool holder. Another problem with most available designs for me is a lack of proper filament guide. Noone really extended PTFE tube and positioned it in the center of the spool. Filament is dragged by original short ptfe tube from holder positioned 90 degree to it without any support. Not good. So lets do it the way I see it! What do you need to make this filament holder: 1. Around 250g of filament. Yes, this is the chunky one, but I wanted it to be sturdy. PETG preffered. 2. Around 65cm of additional PTFE tube. 3. PTFE tube connector – PC4-M10 type. Typical, cheap pneumatic/bowden connector with M10 thread. 4. Any kind of PTFE to PTFE connector. You may choose ready to use connectors like Bambu Labs FAZ006 or print one yourself! Check my other models for PTFE connector – 3 types there – M10 to M10, M6 to M6 and M6 to M10, so any type you have on hand will be fine. You may use original screws but I do not recommend this – 3 screws. One additional screw is needed to connect filament guide to the main body of the holder. You may glue it if you don’t have screw. There are few additional parts you may choose to use after printing everything. Choose the roller pin that fits best. Ball bearing connection should be tight. Washer – I just find out that spool holder slightly sticking out of my printer after I screwed it in. I see this problem with other designs too. You may see on one of my pictures that Ezafs poop chute sticking out of my printer, even I don’t overtightened the screws. I’ve made additional cutouts for the printer frame, it not helped much in my situation, so I added
