Anycubic Kobra X Spool Mount -The stock Kobra X spool mounts make the printer a little tall for shelves or tight workspaces, and loading filament from above is awkward (in my opinion). I designed this side‑spool mount to fix both problems. -By shifting the spool to either side, the printer becomes much shorter and easier to access without reaching over the entire machine. -The mount snaps directly onto the frame, no screws or nuts needed. -The only hardware required is four PC4‑M10 PTFE connectors. Everything else prints and locks into place. -It’s designed for users who don’t have much vertical clearance, want a lower center of mass, or prefer a more accessible filament‑loading position. *Edits: 3/30/2026 -I added a filament guide clip to the files list. -If you have already printed this upload, download KXSSM_Guide Clip_v3.stl and print two of them. -If this is your first time printing this upload then download the V2 Print Profile -This clip prevents the ptfe connector guides from falling off. Notes: -If you just download the .stl files you will notice that only the left ones are included. You will have to mirror them in your slicer to get the other half. Assembly: 1) Remove from build-plate and clean up supports 2) Slide the top and bottom together. They only slide in one way. 3) Lean the mount over the top like so: 4) Snap the mount downwards and slide the mount to the outside edge. 4) Remove the top cap over the z axis lead screw. 5) After cleaning up the guides, screw the PC4-M10 PTFE connectors into the filament guide's holes. 6) Attach filament guides to the z axis lead screw cavity. 7) Push in PTFE tubes. Make sure to remember where each tube is connected to prevent confusion when loading filament later. 8) Attach Filament Guide Clip 9) Repeat for the other side Let me know if you have any questions!
