When hanging multiple lamps or pendulums from the ceiling, I really did not find a nice canopy to hang them from. Screw this onto the ceiling with an apropriate screw and then slide the lamp cord through the hole. If neccessary, use a strip through the bottom hole to keep the cord in place.
