Lamp Shade Support Ring

Lamp shade support ring for an 8" shade (inner diameter of upper ring within the shade). A quick search shows most rings (at least for USA) are in whole inch increments, so though I have not tried, I would imagine this will scale well for similar sizes (+/- 2"). For my application, I made a small cut in the fabric just below upper ring where the three ledges extrude from the ring and pushed the support ring up from the bottom to fit. This was a perfect fit for my application, slight scaling may be needed for your application depending on the thickness of the shade material. Supports are needed since the outer ring is raised to increase rigidity from the center.
