When launching or landing a drone, if you're not on a smooth surface then grass can get in the way of the propellers. Plus, the wind from the props will kick up a cloud of sand or dirt which gets all in the camera and other mechanisms.
To solve this problem I use one of those inexpensive fold-up car solar shields as a launch pad. You know, the ones that are made of lightweight nylon with a flexible wire sewn around the edge. You see them stuck in people's windshields all the time during the summer.
Unfortunately, those things are so lightweight that any amount of wind, including what comes from the propellers of the drone, is enough to blow it away. Trying to land on it is an exercise in frustration from chasing it all over the place. It has to be anchored to the ground!
That's where these anchors come in to play. Print several, poke a golf tee through the hole of each one, and put it around the periphery of the landing pad. They will keep it in place!
