I didn't feel like paying a lot of money for the sold-seperately metal base for my lansky sharpening set, so I designed one instead. I also wanted to design a box for my Lansky knife sharpener set that had space for additional hones that otherwise would not fit in the included box, as well as the baseplate. I used the SnapLock Parametric box design and added dividers to securely hold the sharpening hones, along with the hone oil, a bar of stropping compound, the rods, and my baseplate design.
