I wanted to reclaim desk space, so I built these handy brackets to take the laptop off the desk. Given how I've mounted this on my desk too, it also keeps the laptop safe if I accidentally spill tea on my desk.
One of them can be placed at the rear, and has provisioning so you can attach some velcro tie to keep cables neat. This is super handy if you have an existing USB-C docking station and need to keep the cable from falling under the desk. Just plug in and your whole setup is attached!
I've made these with holes that let me use my desk's existing bolts to hold them. I know not every desk has these bolts, so you'll want to be creative with how you mount it, drilling holes if you need to. That's why I've also included the sketchup files so you can adjust as needed.
