Designed these feet to hold my laptop at a level height with my external monitors, saving some neck strain and improving airflow. I have a smaller printer buildplate, and needed a smaller solution than other laptop stands around.
Two considerations for these parts: maximum laptop open-angle and laptop thickness. Shown in these pictures are my personal laptop, which measures 0.5" with a limited open angle, and so the feet are oriented for a 60degree angle. Your results may vary, so I've included four configurations:
- 0.55inch opening, 60degree angle
- 0.55inch opening, 70degree angle
- 0.70inch opening, 60degree angle
- 0.70inch opening, 70degree angle
If none of these meet your needs, check out my OnShape file and feel free to remix your own custom dimensions: https://cad.onshape.com/documents/ae507d89875ee8609b756e28/w/353fa29624f02ba4079e8014/e/ed2dd399d4db7e7e327c02cb
To protect your desk, I recommend self-adhesive felt on the underside of the feet.
