I could not bring myself to cut large square hole on the front of the lathe so I decided to design and print a mount for the display that goes on the back of the electrical cover. Just drill a hole on the steel cover and route the wires through the tunnel of the 3D printed display mount.

The tachometer is from Amazon just search "DIGITEN 4 Digital LED Tachometer."
