This an enclosure for a 3.2" LCD display originally intended as a plug in for Raspberry PI.
The display has an SPI interface so can be used by any micro controller including the ESP8266 which I use for small projects.
The display also has 3 buttons and a resistive touch screen.
There is room in the enclosure for a 18650 LIPO battery and there is a slot for a micro USB battery charger module.
There is an STL for the main enclosure, one for the sliding lid, and one for parts including a shelf to make mounting the charger module simpler.
My first use was for a standalone train status indicator for showing departures from a local railway station. Code for this is at https://github.com/roberttidey/trainAccess
An instructable is at https://www.instructables.com/id/UK-Train-Display/
v2 of the main box has the button pushers integrated in. The OpenScad file has an integrated option to turn this on and off.
