Lead Retractor

ECG heart monitors are essential to the life and safety of patients. The cables that are used for this monitor, called leads, are easily tangled and knotted, which could prevent efficient and life saving equipment from being utilized. This invention would allow for quick organization that would allow the leads to be stowed in the ECG pouch without becoming tangled. While similar designs exist, those designs are spring loaded retractors, and could pull the leads off of the patient or break more easily. This invention is operated by a hand crank, allowing the EMS provider to control the speed of retraction and when the leads are retracted.
