I thought I'd be fun to do a project with my 8 yo daughter and involve her in the design process. She drew this on paper and I traced it (and made the design work) in Fusion 360.
I strongly recommend going this with your kids. Not only is it fun, a great way to share and pass on your hobby, but it's also a great way for them to learn spatial problem solving, through design.
Either way, it's a quick print and we hope some of you will enjoy to make your own.
B.O.M.:
The only thing you need to make, other than a 3d printer, is 4 608ZZ ball bearings. You can pick these up at any local skate shop or from ebay, I recommend spending a little extra on the center bearing and getting a ceramic one. These will run very smooth and long. I also recommend removing any grease from the center bearing using a solvent like WD40 og terpentine, again this makes for less friction and longer spintimes.
