This is a jumbo mechanical keycap that acts as a mini desk lamp and a fun, functional desk ornament. When pressed, it toggles an internal LED, creating a satisfying glow through the housing β perfect for ambient lighting, mood effects, or just something cool to show off on your desk.π Note: This keycap does not connect to a keyboard or computer. Itβs a standalone circuit powered by a rechargeable LiPo battery with a TP4056 charging module. Pressing the top activates the LED, mimicking the tactile feedback of a real key switch. This design was inspired by a giant keycap project by Zack Freedman on YouTube β I loved the concept and wanted to make my own version thatβs functional and fully self-contained.π§ Want to Tinker?I encourage other makers to remix, improve, and build upon this idea. Whether itβs adding RGB lighting, sound effects, or USB-C charging β this is a fun starting point for creative experimentation!
