I originally saw [this](http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1639224) design for a shadow-less arc lamp on the front page and really liked the idea. The design is very impressive but a bit complex. I came up with this to fit my requirements of being cheap, easy to make, versatile, and still effective.
The parts are very simple to print and friction fitted with the main body. Just print 2 bases, stick LEDs to main body piece, slide into bases, and velcro the bases to your workstation. I used old 3s LiPo that I had laying around to power it so I soldered an XT60 to the LEDs, but can be powered by any 12v source.
Parts:

Cost ~$4
[LED Strip](http://www.banggood.com/5M-White-3528-SMD-LED-Strip-Light-Non-Waterproof-12V-DC-300-LED-p-77079.html)
Cost ~$3
