**Kids Trailer Night Light**
This project was to produce an LED light for our ALDI kids bike trailer (26mm shaft diameter) that we use to take our son for walk or rides in late afternoon / night.
It is designed to take a 5w round heat sink (53mm x 22mm) with a 10w cree xm-l led on a 16mm base with a simple 10 / 60 degree plastic lens glued to cover hole. In the backyard image it is been driven at 3.1v and about 1.5 amps or 50% its possible power.
This is an extremely bright led set up and not recommended to look into the light directly.
I would not recommend running at 100% unless you print housing out of ABS or something with decent heat resistance as at 50% after 10mins and no air flow the heat sink was 40 degree c. However when mounted on a moving object, air flow across front section should cool sufficiently. Small fan could be added to back if needed.
It was printed out of PLA+ and glued together with super glue. It attaches to bike with either screw/bolt or i
