To save energy in my night sessions of programming i constructed a little lamp, which can be attached to the back of my Cherry keyboard without screws or glue.
So i must no more switching on my big light and i have no more reflexions on my monitor.
I have integrated a little switch.
For voltage i have opened my keyboard case und implemented an USB-connector for 5V voltage. But you can use any USB on your desk or from any computer.
I am using a warm white LED-stripe made for 5V. Please use single LEDs and no RGB LEDs because of the limitation of 100mA of an USB-Port.
Attention: Many white LED stripes are 5050 types, that means the white light is mixed of RGB-LEDs, which need more current electricity than an USB port should deliver!
The light can be spinned arround its horizontal axis, so you can set the area of light on your keyboard.
Have fun in the dark night :-)
