This is a simple mounting block that was created to hold an LED clip light. The light can be purchased at Amazon for about $12.It is a simple solution, with the end of the power cable plugged into a USB port or power adapter. The flexible lamp arm allows the luminaire to be positioned as desired.

The light is mounted to the mounting block by removing it from the original clip however you like. I cut the clip and retaining nut off. The light can then be screwed into the block, allowing it to cut its own threads. You may notice that there is a hexagonal recession for a nut in the bottom of the block. I did not need it. This mount allows for the cable to pass through the slot in the block.

It is mounted to the frame of the printer with a pair of M5x20 screws and T-nuts.
