Here is my work in progress collection of LED Megatree parts. Initially I am posting a 32/16 string version, I also have one for 24 strings. This consists of 2 pieces which mate together tightly which hold the wire strings tightly. I used M3x12 screws but the goal is just to pinch these 2 pieces together. Please note that I used VHB tape under each wire string to keep them from slipping, this was actually a lot stronger adhesion that I thought. Then there is a 2 piece cover(due to printing geometry) which glues together with seals out the water and allows for a star to be placed on top. 2 holes in the sides secure the outer ring to the previous pieces holding the strings. A pole supports this up in the air, I used a pool skimmer pile because it was cheap, lightweight, end extended. Then there are 2 options for the bottom ring, I first used fiberglass wire pulling sticks which were ok for small trees but too floppy for large(over probably 5' in diameter. I am now experimenting
