My version of "justdave's" EL Wire Whoop Gate. Big thanks to him for providing the source files that allowed me to easily modify for my needs.
My version uses LED lights rather then EL Wire, I find the buzz from the EL wire to be irritating and gives me a headache if I am anywhere near them. I also modified the base to accept the power modules for the LED lights and to accept the CPVC easier.
I built 10 gates and my total cost was around $70 after factoring in the cost of the printed parts. ($25/kg for PETG filament)
Assembly
1. Twist two strands of LED lights together with the LED's offset so that they are spaced evenly. There should be an LED approximately every 2".
2. Cut the 3/8" tubing into 5ft lengths, that will result in a 19" whoop when assembled.
3. Fish the LED's into the tube using a string and small heavy object, I used a hex nut. there will be excess LED string on the side opposite of the power supply.
4. Start assembling the tubing into the base. There
