This is a proof-of-concept design for a LEG0 5 module long flip-flop beam using two different pin hole inserts.Because FDM printers print layer by layer, it isn't possible to achieve perfect hole features that are perpendicular to the z-axis. Slicer softwares can only approximate the shape of the pin hole across successive layers. This pin-hole insert technique avoids using successive layers to approximate hole features by using a separate pin-hole insert that is printed with the hole facing in the Z-direction. The insert is printed beforehand, and then inserted during a user pause for the main beam piece. After being inserted, the 3D-printer bridges over the insert. The advantage of this method is that the pin hole of the insert is printed as a perfect cylinder. All parts are designed to be printed flat without supports. If you plan on slicing the model yourself, be sure to orient the side with the chamfered edge facing down. The chamfer is designed to eliminate any overhangs in t
