Legged Lamp

This is a print-in-place lamp with no fasteners or support material needed. The body is in one file and the lamp shade is in a second file because it is in spiral vase mode. I try to make my designs use little filament with no need for support material. The body is lightweight with lightning infill and almost hollow. If you want a solid body that can handle rougher treatment, just reset the infill. The lamp shade is done in spiral vase mode with fuzzy skin to give it a texture.The joints are tight on purpose - they need to be for the legs to stay in position. Once you take the initial print loose from your print bed, hold the two outer legs flat to a surface and lift the center up to break it loose. It is important to not put too much pressure on the center body pivot area, especially when it is warm off the printer. Break the leg joints loose using both thumbs close to the joint as shown in my photo. Snap the shade to the top of the body. It is best to support the area on the bottom o
