This is a lens -- filter adapter. I made it because I have a big filter and a small lens, and they don't fit together.
As presented in this format, the lens threads are expected to be 40mm and the filter threads are expected to be 47mm.
I haven't tried modifying the adapter for a smaller filter than lens, so YMMV if you try that...
The design is mostly parametric, so if you use OnShape you can copy it to your account and make a version that meets your lens and filter dimensions by simply modifying the values. There is also a suppressable extrusion that adds/removes an extra ring around the lens that I added for additional stiffness and tighter fit on my lens. Maybe you don't want it.

I've printed it and it works well!
I adjusted the size of the thread interfaces: The model does NOT have threads, but the threads of the lens and filte
