See the path of light as it travels through a convex lens. It also works as a coaster for drinks! (If you plan to use it as a coaster, you might want to scale it up to around 130% or so. Check the dimensions in your slicer.) Each ray of light is modeled according to the actual refraction of light traveling through air and glass. Using Snell's Law and the lensmaker's equation, the focal point is accurately positioned and the real behavior of light can be seen in detail. This has been the most difficult design I've modeled so far, and I'm very pleased with the result. I designed this to be printed with supports, but as long as you're using PLA, they'll be minimal and very easy to remove.
