Many upper noble houses use a Gryphon as a sigil for their houses, normally a creature bearing six limbs. Lesser houses employ the less extravagant and flightless, thought still noble; Lesser Gryphon. If a live animal is kept, it's used as a status symbol more than for any kind of utility, though there are accounts of nobles riding them in to the field of battle to cut a more heroic pose.
I had a lot of fun drawing out these features, and am enjoying seeing myself improve from the previous pieces that employed them as a sculpted aspect of the mini themselves! The initial design was conceptualized by my brother in this instance, and made at his request.
