I made changes to the original model, to make it look more interesting, which I thought would suit the fantasy steam punk style I have chosen better. Important!The reason why the cylinder piece is put as a separate build plate, is because this piece has a tenancy of failing.Boost MeSupport more projects like this Model prep:I took the 3D print and thoroughly sanded it, using sand paper and needle nose files, I stepped up the grit of the sand paper, starting at 70 grit and going up to 600 grit.To fill any seams between different parts, I used a thick application of cheap craft paint in the cracks, which i then went over and sanded.Painting:I started by priming the model, then base coating the dials with an off white, and the sides with a black. to paint the copper, i started by using a metallic copper paint, then a series of black and brown washed, followed by a dry-brush with an old damaged brush, using a lighter colour to create highlights. for the off white parts, I used a saturated
