Light Filter Wheel

This is a 4-hole light filter wheel that I affixed to a recessed light in a kids room. Diameter of each hole is 80mm with a ring insert to hold each disc in place.

The light filter discs were each cut out to about 79mm each. I created a 3rd part not included here as a template to cut each colored disc (amazon: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07PY7NBST). Using the template and an exacto knife (a small clamp helps hold it in place), I cut in as deep as the knife would allow but really only scoring it and followed up with scissors.

Also included in this set is a ring insert to hold the disc in place. This is also printed at 80mm and fits very snug and tight.

Printed at 70% infill to prevent most of the overhead light from coming through and took about 7.5 hours. Note the 1.5mm inset for each disc to lay on. There is also an inset on the bottom of the disc for a screw top to sit flush.
