I combined my daughter's love for light switches and Christmas lights and my love for 3D printing and made a paddle switch-activated light-up Christmas tree. On this print I used a “Big Bulb Holiday Flashing Necklace” as my tree lights, an “EATON 3-way paddle switch” for my switch, 3 “#8 Flat Philips Wood Screws” to attached the front and back of the tree housing, and 2 fork terminals to secure my modified light leads to my switch. The paddle switch was attached to the Christmas tree housing using the provided fasteners and the threaded holes on the light switch. when assembling, be mindful of the wires making sure they don't get pinched when joining the 2 halves. Wire channels may be added on future revisions of this model. This design doesn't require any supports to print. When printed on 1 plate the total print time is about 4.5 hours with no need for post-processing.The 3D print is about 45mm x 176mm x 117mm
