This is a light-up model of the famous V-2 rocket that looks just like its taking off. You can use various light sources for this, the one I selected has a remote so you can turn it off and on at a distance, change the brightness, choose the color, and even have different animations. It looks great in bright and dark areas. The model is of a V-2 Rocket that was produced by Germany during WWII and then after WWII was used by many world powers, including the United States, to jump start their rocket programs. A V-2 holds the distinction of also being the first man made object to reach outer space by crossing the Kármán line on June 20th, 1944 (learn more). It reached a the impressive altitude of 574,000ft or 175km before coming back to earth (it didn't orbit the earth, but it did reach space).
