I made this model over a year ago and did a poor job connecting the pieces together. If you decide to make this I recommend drilling a hole into each piece so a bit of nail can go between the pieces and add some strength to the joins. This is something I've designed into all my subsequent prints.
The handle is 3D printed and the straight section is a 9 inch length of 7/16th inch dowel. This is the same approach I've used on the other wands I've posted this year.
