Lissajous Large Vase

This is the application of Lissajous* figures utilizing the interaction of two perpendicular sinusoidal wave-forms to create 3D artistic forms for home decoration in the shape of a vase and flowers. The outer area of the vase is an open void framework of vertically orientated curved elements arranged in a circle with a hollow cylinder forming the cavity. The models were created using BlocksCAD which allowed the mathematical creation and manipulation of Lissajous figures to create the basic form to which elements are added or removed. If you intend to add a flowers its recommended to use an internal container as the cavity is not waterproof by design. Even if the cavity holds water without leaking, an internal container is preferable at it can be easily cleaned.
