DescriptionThis model is a 3D representation of a Lissajous figure rotated about the Z axis and cut in half to reveal the original waveshape.Frequency ratio a:b (0.125:1), amplitude 2.5:1.If left as a completely circular form it would not have shown the underlaying waveshape and could easily have been confused with the outcome of a sperical wave equation although with constant amplitude. Usage The model can be in 3 orientations subject to user preference. Two stable and one unstable. The unstable orientation (sat on its outer circumference), makes an interesting desk toy as it rocks to & fro with a gentle downward tap.Whilst in the unstable orientation Introduce a 9mm marble into the second chamber from the centre will add sound as it rocks due to the structural dynamics and vibration of the model and the surface on which it is mounted.A clear film (E.g PET), could be stuck over the opening (with or without holes), to prevent the loss of the marble but beware this will impact the acousti
