Last October I saw a series of posts on Reddit featuring lithophanes and decided I wanted to make a few for Christmas gifts for my family. I went through the existing designs for lithophane lamps but couldn't quite find one that fitted what I wanted to do. I decided to take on my first big design project and design one myself. The project took far more time than I anticipated (both to design and to print), but I managed to finish two lamps in time for Christmas. Each lamp took approximately 94 hours total to print. The holder was printed with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height in Hatchbox Black PLA, the lithophanes were all printed in Overture White PLA with a 0.4mm nozzle at 0.12mm layer height. The entire thing was done on my Ender 3.
