I have removed both v1 and v2 the case walls were to thin leaving not enough material to attach the back to. I also added a template/backer for the picture and for cutting the picture out as well as cutting the plexiglass.

V3 seems to be right at least for my needs and the picture backer makes it a lot easier to cut a picture down to the right size to fit into the case.

I printed mine in white abs at 100% infill the back wrapped a little bit but the case it's self turned out great and is functional as is and there's plenty of room for a decent thickness plexiglass to protect your picture and room to either glue the back on or use very small screws.
