There are number of Longboards/Skateboard brakes with a deck attachment. E.g. Skate Safe V-brake (https://goo.gl/0CV83r) or Mingoskateboarding FrogStop (https://goo.gl/DfuLQZ). However, this kind of brakes reduces space under wheels and increases a possibility of wheel-bytes. Thera are number of brakes with a truck attachment. E.g. Brakeboard Trucks (https://goo.gl/eYoa3e) or SkateBrake (https://goo.gl/7az8ku). However, they are quite complex devices.

I have developed a simple truck attached longboard brake. It contains only wood, plywood and epoxy parts so it is easy to DIY.

The brake consists of a brake base with attachment wedges and a pedal with a rubber brake shoe. The brake base attaches to truck using steel ties. It connects to truck in two points for greater strength. The pedal moves and presses wheel due to the elasticity of the thin plywood pedal arm. How it works, you can see on the plans and photos.
