A double-handed European sword used between the 13th and 17th centuries, the longsword is a long, double-edged weapon used predominantly in melee combat. The blade on this sword typically measures between 33 and 43 inches in length.

This sword was designed in Autodesk Inventor, and tweaked in Microsoft 3D Builder. The blade measures roughly 40 inches long, and the model is broken up into 5 inch parts for smaller printers. I have also included the original uncut model.

Special Note: Nine supports are needed to assemble the sword. The supports must also be downscaled by 2-5% for a snug fit (can vary depending on filament, print nozzle, etc.)

Special Note: For the blade to be 40 inches long, the Blade part will need to be printed six times (the part has a "x6" included in the name). If a longer or shorter sword is desired, simply print either more or less Blade parts; each part is roughly 5 inches tall.

Enjoy!
