Makes
Simple nut to add on top of the XMachines Lorei lead screw to reduce Z-Axis backlash.
Installation:
1 - Find yourself a spring that fits over the leadscrew, but isn't too stiff.
2 - Raise the extruders up so that the spring extends above the top of the lead screw such that when pushed down to be level with the top of the leadscrew, gives the desired tension.
3 - Remove the 2 screws from the top of the sheetmetal enclosure.
4 - Place the backlash nut on top of the lead screw, aligning the tabs with the slots in the rail, and the threaded hole with the leadscrew.
5 - Start bringing the extruders back down, keeping pressure on the backlash nut. It should seat itself and start to follow the extruders down.
6 - Replace the screws on the top of the sheetmetal enclosure.
