Did some reading about Chaos theory and Attractors and I wanted to put my hands on the shapes rather than looking at them in the computer.
This is a model of a Lorenz Attractor (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lorenz_system) with b= 8/3, ?= 10, r= 28. The model was plotted in Mathematica and the path was "tubified" in order to fill in gaps and make it printable.
The model is 62mm wide, 44mm tall, and 26mm deep. The base is 25.4mm x 25.4mm. The pictures show the model printed at 200% scale.
If you like this I am also working on a model of a Rossler Attractor. I'm having difficulty making the stl perfectly manifold so if you have any tips please let me know.
