This is a low-polygon Reindeer (Caribou). Perfect for a Christmas or nature scene. The model will stand by itself if placed cautiously, but I have included a base plate of similarly low polygon faceted terrain. You can print this by layer range with green and white to give a snow effect. How to:Form a mesh by edge loop and extrusion that is vaguely reindeer shaped, then begin adding loops and refining with a subdivision surface modifier, making use of creasing edges. Use reference photographs heavily to get as close as possible. Then use a decimation modifier to get a desirable “low poly” look, and do some manually retouching to keep the base of the feet in line, contrive bridging areas and reduce overhangs and slopes where possible.
