I needed a surface mount solution for an electrical box in my ice shack on the walls, as we didn't have the ability to run the wire inside the wall. The other problem is that I also wanted it to look nice! This is what I came up with! I recommend to print these in PETG or ABS. (tested in PETG only) There are provisions for in wall access for wiring, and 4 side access holes with plugs for running wires in the sides, top and bottom. Backer plates have also been provided should your install happen to be on thin material like panel board. The top and bottom mounts for the Duplex receptacle have a point on them that serve two purposes. They allow for far easier routing of 14-2 wire inside the top and bottom of the housing for your connection. They act as an alignment gauge for you to better see if you have the electrical fixture perfectly centered before installing your faceplate. This kit comes with not only a Duplex receptacle, but also comes with some additional hardware you may find use
