I designed this mount to be able to hide my Lowrance Ghost heading sensor inside the hull of my boat. It requires four 3x10mm stainless button head screws and some quality double sided tape.
To install, I first got the floor of the boat as level as possible. Then I placed the mount loosely inside the hull approximately where I wanted it mounted (do not tape, yet), making sure to leave the sliding screws loose. I then used a small level to get the platform as level as I could. Once I was satisfied with the location and the level, I marked the hull where the base of the mount was, so that I could tape it into position later and tightened the screws. Before removing the mount, I marked (as best I could) the direction that I wanted the heading sensor to point. I was then able to screw the heading sensor to the top plate, apply the tape to the bottom of the mount, and then install it for the final time.
I have had it installed in my boat since June of 2023 and have had no issues.
