This is the aleph objects design for the lulzbot mini spool holder modified to make the surface the spool rests on completely round and smooth. Acetone vapor was used after printing in ABS to make the surface slippery smooth. The original arm was providing a lot of resistance, and the minor print issues I was seeing strongly correlated with the printer trying to turn the spool while feeding filament.
The original arm is also photographed next to the new smooth slippery arm for reference.
