I picked up a M12AR new-in-box for very cheap at auction. I am familiar with the M12AR's reputation for being dirt cheap and made of pot metal, so I knew what I was getting into. I won't dig into every problem with it, but after weird rough spots and sharp edges I lubed the moving parts and went to the range. I tried various shell lengths, target loads, heavy shot, and slugs. This thing would not cycle right. I got near constant failures to eject or short strokes. The closest I got to a full cycle was with 3in magnum. It would extract, weak eject, it would start to feed the next shell but then stall on the stove pipe. Eventually I figured out there was a tremendous amount gas leaking out the front of the block. The design of their gas regulator is a little faulty. Doesn't matter which size gas port you're using, because the other two are still open and so if there's enough gap between the outside of the gas plug and the inside of the gas tube a lot of your gas is go
